Entrevista

This was the worst interview experience I have ever had. As a recruiter myself I have an understanding of the process and get how busy and hectic things can be however the way they treated me was inexcusable. For starters the recruiter was 7 minutes late to our call and unapologetic about it. She was incredibly low energy and apathetic with no excitement about Square. I could tell she was reading from a script and not even paying attention to my answers. Most of the questions I asked were met with negative and sarcastic responses. Why does this person even work there when they clearly hate it so much? To make matters worst I was rejected even though my qualifications far exceeded the requirements for the role. No feedback provided which seems to be a theme for this place. All in all I was shocked and saddened by my experience.

Entrevista

The recruiter scheduled a 30 min call that she rescheduled. I was, of course flexible, things happen. However, I could tell from the moment that she got on the line that this was a courtesy call since I was referred. The recruiter had no interest in connecting with me at all and it showed. It became clear that they had already made up their mind about my experience before we even got on the call and not even 24 hours later, the person who referred me to the role got an email that they weren't moving forward. The "interview" if you want to even call it that, consisted of the following: - Tell me about how you got into recruiting? - Great, any questions for me? They didn't talk about the team, the role, the expectations. I tried to dig into the teams this role would support and the challenges being faced. It was like pulling teeth. As a recruiter who would never treat a candidate like this, it baffles me that this is the type of experience being offered. It's even furthermore unfortunate that exceptional recruiters who care about candidates are being screened out by bad recruiters that clearly aren't giving applicants a fair shake. It's not even close to the kind of experience that I'm sure the Recruiting Leadership Team and the company values promote. When I connect with candidates, they get the full rundown of the team, what they are working on and how it supports the business, the role, the challenges, the projects they are working on, how you can drive impact. What a shame.

Interview process was pretty smooth. The phone interviews all felt a little repetitive, but the onsite was really well organized and engaging. People seem to like their jobs and everyone was friendly and prompt. I thought the coordinators especially did a great job.

Entrevista

I applied in the end of April, I was invited to interview within the next week or so, I was well prepped for the interview and felt very welcomed in the space (even though I was the only one wearing high heels - note to self) From here, the interviews were very structured and effective - I felt very known and understood after the process.

Applied via referral from a current employee and was promptly contacted by a recruiter to set up a call. My phone interview was extremely underwhelming – the recruiter sounded like he was under the influence, was not sure what he was interviewing for, or had an understanding on what he should be asking. His presumptuous attitude on my background throughout the interview made me feel very uncomfortable – would not work for a person like this ever.

Entrevista

I applied for a recruiter role back in the beginning of January and heard back from a recruiter for a phone screen about a month later. We scheduled a call for that week and never heard from her. As I waited for our call, I emailed her letting her know if she needed to reschedule. I received an email about an hour later letting me know that they have a fire evacuation and that she needed to reschedule. She let me know when she was available and I threw out a time that we could speak. When that time came, didn't hear from the recruiter. I sent another email confirming our time, but never heard back. I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt that something came up and waited a couple of days. It's now been 3 weeks with no contact with the recruiter. As a recruiter, this is HORRIBLE communication with a candidate. Facts to note: -the role is still open -the person I was working with was the recruiting lead, which i'm assuming would have been my manager

Internal recruiter reaches out for a short phone screen. He was about 10 minutes late. Mentioned that he is really busy and has back to back calls. (Makes me feel really valued) The call didn't seem to have a purpose other then informing me the recruiting process and ask why I was looking. I was invited to headquarters for a short 2 person interview. When receiving the email confirmation there is no schedule for who you will be meeting with. The schedule said it will be 1 hour and 15 minutes and if that goes well then another interview. When I arrived I ended up with a 3 hour interview with over 4 people. The coordinator picks you up from the lobby and gives a short tour and water. Very modern and high tech looking office with lots of space. The team is very nice and seem like a good bunch of people to work with. Most have been there 3+ years. Since they have a small group it appears they are looking for someone who fits their culture to a T. Not a lot of hustle and bustle going on in the office. At the end of the 1:1 interviews the internal recruiter picks you up and walks you out. When meeting with me he said he collected the feedback from most of the team already. I asked him if he could share it or if they would provide direct feedback to help me in future interviews. He responded they usually don't do that. (why tell me you got feedback already then?) All in all an ok interview process. They could have done a better job preparing candidates and screening upfront then wasting time bringing people in for short interviews.
