Online application with CV, cover letter, selection of papers covering the scope of the journal and a piece of writing.I got a phone call of 45 min where the person wanted to make sure I was motivated. She then decided to put me throught the 2h timed exercise to assess two papers. A lot of efforts and hopes to be ghosted at that point... I don't know if HR was ghosted too by the hiring manager but as a matter of fact she stopped answering me. Update: I finally got answered after a month to tell me they prefered another candidate with more complementary skills than mine. They probably could have realize that right from the resume/cover letter stage.
