One day after the interview with the Hiring Manager, HR called me and shared very positive feedback from the Hiring Manager, mentioning that they would follow up soon with an offer after internal alignment. This gave me strong hope, and I even started preparing for onboarding. One week later, there was still no update. I followed up, and HR asked me to wait. At that point, I already sensed that I was not selected. After waiting another two weeks, I emailed to ask whether I could close the process on my side. HR again asked me to wait and promised an update within one week, which eventually resulted in a rejection. It seems that post-interview feedback is part of Sephora’s standard process, so candidates should not place too much hope on positive feedback alone. In my experience, if there is no follow-up within a week, it usually means you are not final candidate.
