Ridiculously long final interview for an entry level role. I was asked to take a day off of my annual leave for a 6 hour long assessment day. Required long hours of preparation after my working hours and I was asked to give a presentation on the day. I would not recommend employers dragging through candidates for this long and asking them to use their annual leave if the employers is not even sure about them at this stage. I found out that they were interviewing an other canditate for the same role and they were never meant to hire both us, opposed to what they said in the beginning. Recruiter never contacted me on her own about the outcome of the assessment day. I had to email her two weeks late to find out I did not get the offer.
- What is your biggest weakness or fear regarding this position? Tell me a time when you had to work with clients.

I was approached for the bda role by a recruiter from Salesforce. I was pleasantly surprised by the research that was done prior to our conversation by the recruiter. The process was quite long but went very smooth and there were no unnecessary steps or questions.
- The questions were mostly about the company, me and my prior experience in sales.

Really fast process. Application to receiving an offer package happened in the span of 2 weeks. Starts with a half hour screener with a recruiter. Standard questions are asked - your background, why sales, why SF, and then you're able to ask your own questions. The next morning, if successful, you'll be reached out to and scheduled for an interview with a pair of sales managers. That interview is an hour long. Starts with a 10 minute slide deck where you teach them anything, followed by half an hour of their questions. Then you're given time to ask your own questions. If you're given the greenlight following this interview, you'll be called the next day to inform you of the good news and the offer letter will come shortly after. Overall it's an exhausting process just because you know how competitive it is (it's a fantastic opportunity, of course it's going to be tough!) but it's very fair. If you do your homework and come prepared then you'll have a chance to get the job.
- Tell us about yourself Why sales Why sales at Salesforce now Tell us about a time where your idea was challenged Tell us about a time where you failed Tell us about when you led a team to accomplish something

I was contacted by an inhouse recruiter on LinkedIn, then the following steps: - Short call with recruiter - Longer interview with Recruiter - Hiring Manager interview - Assessment day from 9-15, in that were another two interviews and a business case study. The Assessment day: 2 30 minutes interviews with Hiring Managers 1 30 minute session where you can ask questions to current BDA's (non-formal, non-judged). A case study as follows: A week in advance you get a information on a potential client of Salesforce, their needs and desires etc. You then must prepare a recommendation for them on which SF products are best suited for them. You should prepare some slides with their needs, challenges, your recommended products for them, and questions to ask them. On the assessment day, you're paired with one or two people, and you get around 45 minutes to prepare a 20 minute presentation, where your Hiring Managers are the clients in this role-play. NOTE: It's not necessarily about in-depth product knowledge, more about collaboration and communication skills. All in all it took a good 2 weeks from initial conversation to being hired. Generally I noticed everyone was very friendly and happy to help, my recruiter really felt like 'on my side' and to help me out wherever possible. He gave me tips on the best way to conduct the interview with the hiring manager, and he offered a prep call for the assessment day. Both incredibly helpful!
- - Why Salesforce? - Why Business Development? - Name examples of where you wwere challenged (TIP: Use STARRS) - Name examples of were you were most proud of (STARRS) - Name examples of when you were teamworking, or taking initiative (STARRS) - Which personality traits make you good for Sales - What is Ohana (their cultural motto) to you? - What does a CEO of a start-up need to be successful?

The interviewer were friendly, but the recruiter who assisted me during the process did not appear to be well-organized. My second interview was scheduled, but it was moved to the next day at the last minute. With that, I had less than 24 hours to plan and deliver a full presentation. I didn't have much time to prepare, and I didn't think it was fair.
- Tell me about yourself? Why sales/salesforce? What did you do when you didn't agree with your previous boss's advice?

Overview of the interview process for EMEA: * Phone Interview * Video Interview * Assesment Centre Day including two hiring manager interviews and a group case The entire process took a bit over a month between applying and receiving an offer.
- A lot of motivational questions (about role, company, industry, ...) and typical "Tell me about an experience where you showed X" questions

First apply online or have a recruiter reach out. Phone call for first round. Final round is a 1 hour interview with questions such as a "teach me something" section. Then a variety of behavioral questions included "what is our greatest risk in hiring you"
- Teach me something section, followed by behavioral questions

Discussion over the phone with recruiter, followed by an interview with a manager, and then a final stage interview with two managers. I had all stages virtually as I was located far away, so my process was different.
