Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Remitly (Tel Aviv) en nov 2023
Entrevista
I interviewed with Remitly in Israel (formerly Rewired). It was one of the worst experiences I have had so far in my job search. The process was very unprofessional & unethical. It started with a zoom interview with the VP Product, no recruiting call before this interview. The process was already very unconventional but she told me that it was because the design lead was on maternity leave... Then she gave me an extensive home assignment to design an entire mobile app which required product thinking, UX wireframes and UI deliverables. They gave me a week to finish it & i invested a lot of time and energy into it. After I submitted the assignment I only got confirmation that they received it after 2 days, and then I didn't hear from them for over a week. When I reached out they took a few days to respond to me that they decided not to move forward without giving me any feedback about my assignment from whoever reviewed it (I wasn't even sure who that was). I am starting to understand that as designers we can not accept doing home assignments without compensation or at the very least a follow-up meeting after submitting the assignment to present our work & get professional feedback. Also, I am starting to understand that it is critical not to accept a home assignment so early in the process, that we need to see that the management, company, culture, role, and compensation align with what we want before investing so much time in these assignments. Companies must change their interview methods to be more ethical.
