I agree with the previous reviewer about this role. The recruiter appeared to lack knowledge of local SEO and listing optimization. I confidently answered all the interview questions, but unfortunately, it felt like a waste of time to research the company and apply for the position. It also seemed like they had a clear bias about who they wanted to hire. That said, I’ve since secured an incredible Manager role in local SEO at one of the largest retail companies in the U.S., and I’m genuinely glad they didn’t move forward with my application. For future applicants, don’t let their recruitment process make you doubt your qualifications—it’s not a true reflection of your skills or potential.

I'll start by saying the interviewer was nice, and that it wasn't a very difficult interview. However, it became clear to me after about 4-5 minutes that the interviewer had no idea how SEO worked - specifically local SEO. For starters, we did a Google meet call, but with no cameras. I thought this was a bit odd, but in hindsight I think it was so she could read the questions off the paper without needing to be on camera. Secondly, her follow up questions were literally "What else?","What else", "What else?" over and over. This was after I had listed around 10 different ways to optimize or improve local Google Business Profile listings.
