A hiring manager reached out to me via email to set-up an interview. I responded with times and had an interview set-up. The hiring manager reached our less than an hour before the interview to reschedule. She never responded to my dates/times. When she finally fid the next day it was to let me know the role had been filled. Totally unprofessional.

I didn't make it very far — just to the first 30 min. phone screen process with a recruiter. Pretty typical questions, nothing too out of the ordinary, and a question on comp. I thought I had done alright and was more than qualified for the job (and got in as a referral), but I ended up not moving forward in the process. The process, for anyone who DOES make it out of the phone screen for this position, is this: - 30 min phone screen with recruiter - 30 min phone call with hiring manager - 30 min case study with hiring manager + teammate - Day-long panel style interview (virtual, over Zoom, and can be split into two days)

Nerd Wallet very clearly only hires people from Ivy leagues. It's very disappointing and shows how much they lack diversity. The team I interviewed with left shortly afterwards as well.
