Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) en jun 2021
Consisted of 3 interviews (screening, panel, interview w/ director). Everyone was great to talk with and there was transparency throughout the entire process. My recruiter really went above and beyond throughout each stage of the interviews. She provided many resources and helped with interview prep.
- Why tech sales? What do you know about MuleSoft? What drives you? Where have you made an impact? How do you measure success?

Recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin and did the first initial call, it went fine he was nice. However, they made me prepare SO MUCH for the next interview with 2 managers and 2 people from the team. I've done a lot of interviews and let me tell you this was by far THE WORST interview I've ever done. The main manager seemed extremely snooty and rolled her eyes. The second one was nice but you could tell it was fake. They asked me a bunch of questions which I answered politely. I want to mention that in the beginning I did a little small talk to break the ice. Now, that was 45 minutes of asking me the same thing over and over again, which again I answered. At the end, I asked them a question about diversity and they gave me a half-assed "oh there are groups you can join" answers. I wasn't surprised, the entire team of people that I spoke to were white, ALL 4 OF THEM and they kept saying how much they value diversity and really focus their energy in making sure they are very diverse. The only diverse thing I saw about them was the video they sent me to do research where they had people of all colors, absolute bs. Anyway, I put up with their rudeness, constantly asking the same things over and over again and complete lack of diversity and transparency with a smile. The feedback I got was, I was "too casual" in the interview. If making small talk to break the ice or build a connection is too casual, then are they looking to hire a robot that dances to their every move? It felt very restricting and that you'd have limited capability to do what you'd like. I'm glad I didn't get the offer cause this experience was HORRIBLE.

As a candidate I could not have asked for a better interview process. Everything was seamless and the entire team demonstrated enthusiasm to connect with me. My recruiter, Madeline Fowler, was amazing. She went the extra mile at every step to make sure I was prepared for late stage interviews and scheduled everything in a timely manner.
- Why Sales? Why Mulesoft? What do you think makes a good salesperson? What do you think you will need to work on? What drives you?

The interview process had three rounds. First round 30 minutes, second round 90 minutes, and third round 30 minutes. Interview process runs smoothly and the people were awesome to chat with! The recruiter is awesome through this process as well and helps with interview prep.

The process was overall seamless. It was one of the best interview experience I have had. Madeline Fowler was incredible throughout the whole experience. Her direct communication and assistance throughout the process was so helpful. Overall, I have zero complaints.

first round is a phone screen with an internal recruiter. If you are passed through, you will then have a 90-minute panel interview consisting of three parts - behavioral questions and MuleSoft product knowledge questions, a peer panel, and a mock call.
- If I were a CIO of a company, how would you present Mulesoft's value proposition?

30 min screening call with a recruiter which involves very basic questioning re previous experience and why MuleSoft. The next stage is a 2.5hr interview containing a panel interview, a mock call, an interview with a director, and a 30 min chat with current team members.
- What is the risk of hiring you?

4 Part Interview Process. 1. Initial conversation with a recruiter, ensuring you understand the company, and how it operates, lasting about 15 minutes. 2. High level interview with 2 managers, lasting about an hour. This interview includes a mock sales call, along with questions seeking to see how educated you are about Mulesoft. 3. Casual peer interview with current Account Development Representatives. Questions were more personal, and sought to get to know the interviewee. This occurred the same day as the interview with the managers, and lasted about 30 minutes. 4. Final interview with the director of the city you're interviewing with. Another high level interview looking to see what the interviewee knows about the company, as well as a few behavioral questions.
- What's your understanding of MuleSoft and the AD role? Why Mulesoft? What's the last thing you bought? How would you apply MuleSoft to that experience? What is the most strategic problem you've ever had to solve? Give me an example of a situation in which you were skillful in making a decision quickly. Where do you think you'd be most successful in this role? Weakest in this role? How do you measure how successful your college experience was? Why do you believe that’s the best measure? What was your approach to achieving your success? Would you have done anything differently? Why? What do you do on a daily/weekly basis to ensure you stand out as going above and beyond? What is your greatest sales-related achievement to date? What steps led to the final outcome? What is your Everest? In other words, when you look back in 20 years, what do you hope to have accomplished? Why is that important to you? How does a career at MuleSoft, in this role, fit in that path? What’s the most insurmountable challenge you’ve faced? Why was it insurmountable? Why did you take it on? How did you approach it? What was the end result?

There was a recruiter call, who then set me up with a 2 hour interview. First one was panel of two, where there was a mock call and series of interview questions. Second was a Talent partner interview, and third was peer interviews

The WORST recruiting experience of my life. I have dual citizenship. I am a born and raised Swedish citizen, but I also have Iranian citizenship. I applied for the “Account Development Representative” position based in Sweden. I went through the whole recruiting process, and I was offered the job. I was added by the team and the managers on LinkedIn. Everyone in the team congratulated me and welcomed me with open arms. But three weeks after the offer, when I had already begun preparing for the job and turned down opportunities at other companies, I was informed that the offer had been rescinded since I am an Iranian citizen. This is discrimination based on citizenship. MuleSoft/Salesforce is a company whose core values are “Trust” and “Equality”, and yet they discriminated me because I hold an Iranian citizenship. The law does not prevent MuleSoft/Salesforce from hiring me, because I have always been a Swedish citizen. The recruiter and the managers who had been so warm and welcoming at first became cold and unavailable as soon as they found out about my Iranian citizenship. Finding a good job as a graduate in the middle of a pandemic has been difficult as it is, the last thing I needed was for MuleSoft/Salesforce to waste my time and energy for over two months. This is the worst that I have ever been treated by a company.
