After an initial call with the hiring manager, I completed a take home challenge to build an Angular app deployed on Firebase, then advanced to a STAR panel interview with the dev team. After the panel, communication stopped entirely. The hiring manager explicitly said they would not ghost and would provide feedback either way, with a decision expected by late Feb. I sent multiple follow ups over the next few weeks and received no response. Rejection is fine, but asking candidates to invest significant time in a take home and panel and then going silent is not acceptable.
