      Entrevista

I went through a phone screen, then an hour long in person interview with a small tour, and then another phone interview with another member of the marketing department. While the job seemed very interesting but the pay was extremely low and I couldn't accept it because of that.

      Entrevista

I applied through the company website. After I applied, I had to complete a personality test and a math test that took about an hour to complete. I was then invited to do a phone interview with a recruiter. I spent a grand total of about 5 hours researching the division I applied for, and learning about all their products and services before the phone interview. When it came down to the interview, the recruiter was late to call me. She said she was in a meeting and didn’t have my resume or any of the job information pulled up. It was completely understandable, and I know these things happen. We got into the interview and she first went on to say the position was located in San Diego. It was actually in Irvine.....then she asked me why I was I interested in their company, and more about my background. I literally went over all the pieces of how my job ties into their requirements, and then she proceeded to read the job description word for word out loud to me. At this point, I had already read it a hundred times and knew it by heart. She later asked about salary expectations. I gave her a range and she legitimately goes “I don’t even know how much they’re offering, hold on”. She did not go through any benefits, and I had to ask about them. Two days after the interview, she sent me a rejection letter. I replied to it thanking her, and asking for some feedback on what I was lacking or could improve. She did not reply. A couple of weeks later, they updated the job description requirements, and downgraded the position from a level 2, to a level 1. There were far less requirements, and all skills I had already. So I reached back out to them by phone. Someone took down a message for the recruiter I spoke with, but I did not hear a reply. I emailed her instead, and she told me that they were moving on with other candidates. I emailed her back asking for feedback again, and she said they do not offer any reasons decisions are made to candidates. What a complete waste of time! You have your candidates fill out over an hour test, interview them by phone for almost an hour, and don’t offer any kind of feedback? I was concerned about this that I actually wrote a couple of letters to the company CEO. I let him know that I’m always open to suggestions and ways to improve, and that by not allowing for feedback after investing so much time in the interview process, you are missing out on a chance to improve and for future candidacy. I have seven years of marketing experience in many different areas. I also told him that I really would like to work for his company someday. l, and wanted to work on my faults. Surprise surprise, I didn’t receive any kind of reply. All the videos I see of him online preach about continuous improvement and how they value people so much, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
