This was a bad interview. I was asked several questions related to the inner functionality of JS and TS that were quite difficult, in the sense that having programmed JS/TS for 5 years I never encountered or, indeed, had to think about the details I was being quizzed on. What made it deeply unpleasant, though, was the interviewer. I was left with the overwhelming impression that he considered the interview a waste of his own time, and had a communication style that I found somehow both condescending and unhelpful. In other interviews I've had, the interviewer acts as a partner. This interviewer felt like an adversary. Anyways, I was fortunate enough to get an offer somewhere else. I also just want to note that this is my second time posting this interview feedback. The first one was removed, so I've tried to be as diplomatic as possible here while still being honest about my interview experience. I do wonder, however, how many other interview experiences have been deleted.

After moving past the recruiter screen, I was told there would be a code pairing session using TypeScript. In actuality, I was presented with several short excerpts of code with questions to answer about the differences between certain types, if types written in multiple different ways were equivalent or not, and to find errors in the code. The interviewer was rude and unprofessional towards me when I didn't know the answers - telling me "it came out in TypeScript 3 which came out in 2018" and that I should look it up. At the end of the interview, the interviewer asked me "do you want answers to any of the questions or do you not care". I have never been treated so poorly in an interview.
