Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en MSD (Praga) en nov 2024

      Entrevista

The interview process was unprofessional. As a Senior Developer, I expected the first round to focus on understanding the team and ensuring the role was a good fit for me. However, the interviewer disregarded the requests I made in advance via email and focused on basic technical questions that were more suited to junior developers. I had already shared my public GitHub profile and other resources that clearly demonstrated my technical expertise. After several exchanges, the hiring manager agreed to discuss the team and role in more depth, but continued to ask irrelevant, basic questions. I anticipated that, after a productive conversation, we would move on to more advanced topics, such as system design and architecture. Instead, I received a rejection email the following day, which summarized my qualifications based on an inefficient interview process. Despite holding relevant certifications from Oracle and other organizations, the interviewer continued to ask basic questions that were not aligned with the role. Suggestions for improvement: - Reconsider the use of outdated technical tests and focus on relevant skills for the role. Until changes are made, I will not consider applying again due to the lack of respect shown for my experience and qualifications. - Be more flexible and remember that the candidate is not a beggar desperate for a job and that the candidate has the full right to inquire and ask questions to understand if they should pursue that further. Do not get offended if a candidate for once said no to your process and asked for more flexibility or small change in process. Final thoughts: Either the interviewer was not really interested in the process OR this is another example of phantom jobs because when I asked about the project, I got very vague responses and the job description doesn't say much. I also applied to this position very long time ago so there is a possibility that the position doesn't actually exist. I was absolutely fit for the position. Overall, it was a waste of time; won't apply there again. Have they engaged in more meaningful interview process and continued with normal interview questions instead of "Hello world" that are more relevant to the role, I wouldn't have complained; but it's clear either they don't value their employees or they didn't have the intent to hire.
