4 week process: 1. Phone Screen 2. 1 hour Interview 3. 45 minute online test 4. Given prompt to prepare for mock Discovery call 5. 30 minute mock Discovery call 6. Given prompt for mock intro presentation 7. 30 minute check-in call with hiring manager 8. 30 minute mock presentation to sales team with Q&A It was long, disjointed, and the hiring manager even expressed to me that it was a new hiring process and they were very unclear on the process themselves. During the 1 hour interview, the hiring manager was discussing salary and what the offer would entail before telling me that the 45 minute online test didn't matter. I was also asked how soon I could start. Very inappropriate considering there were half a dozen more hoops to jump through before that could even happen. The prompts were very shallow on information for both the mock Discovery call and mock presentation, and there was zero clarity on expectations even after asking for clarification (to the point where the overall design of the presentation slides were critiqued after ZERO resources were provided. FYI there were entire slides that were relevant screenshots from a public facing investor presentation on their own website...). In the mock presentation, I was then expected to field questions successfully that would be impossible to answer without actually being an employee (ie. pricing/pricing structure, where project leads would be headquartered, how a team of developers would be assigned to a project, internal workflows, "do you like working for Kin + Carta?", etc.). The check in call was not explained to me at all either. After submitting my availability for another call, it was added to my calendar with zero information. I showed up to that call unclear of the purpose of it and was not met with confidence on the other end. That conversation turned into a prep discussion for the upcoming presentation and even when asking direct questions surrounding what the expectations are and what should be covered, the hiring manager was still unsure. The only redeeming part of this process was the HR representative as she was wonderful to work with. I was given a phone call rejection after completing the entire interview process and was even told that I was not given a fair shot and the process I went through was not fair... that doesn't necessarily instill confidence in their process. I then received an email rejection 3 days after that phone call.

- Initial Call with Recruiter to discuss background and about the company. - Set up and technical interview with a member on the team. Ask a variety of questions related to the role. - Technical Challenge (Hackerrank). Fairly simple stuff. - Another technical interview with another member on the team. - Ghosting/Taking forever to make a decision?? - An interview where I'm told I did extremely well on every level should not take forever to reach a decision. It leaves you wondering what are next steps with no regards of your time. The interview process seemed to be going to be going smoothly but all of a sudden it's completed been halted with zero explanation whatsoever. Lost interest. Complete waste of time. Don't even waste your time.

I was referred to and applied to the position in question on June 3, 2021. On June 9, 2021 a recruiter from Kin + Carta reached out to me via email to schedule an interview with Calendly. I scheduled the interview the following day June 10, 2021. The day of the phone screen the recruiter was a few mins late. Approximately 8mins into the phone call, the recruiter's phone ran out of power. I sent a email and voicemail following up after a few minutes went by. I received an email response from the recruiter misspelling my name; apologizing; elaborating their "phone died"; and asked when would I be able to reschedule. I reply back ~30min later with several times. I don't receive any correspondence back of any kind until June 16, 2021 (almost a week later). On June 16, 2021 my assigned recruiter replied to me via email "So sorry, I was out of the office the last few days. Are you available to speak this Friday at all?" . I replied with my respective available times. I await the call at the agreed upon time and never received the call. On Friday Jun 18, 2021 at 1:43 I receive an email from my assigned recruiter stating the following "Tried giving you a call during our scheduled time this afternoon and it went to voicemail, but I was unable to leave a message due to the box being full." Which was strange because my recent call log didn't display any calls from my assigned recruiter phone number. I call my assigned recruiter to follow up and got sent to voicemail. I called once more a few minutes later and my assigned recruiter informed me that they were on a call with another candidate and that they had another meeting to attend. However, my assigned recruiter stated that they had time to speak after the meeting at 3pm and sent me another Calendly invite. I accepted and when I did not receive a phone call at 3pm I called at 3:07pm where I left a voicemail requesting to know where I stood in the interview process. On Monday Jun 21, 2021 at 2:44pm I received a Calendly invite from my assigned recruiter with only interview times on Monday the 21st of June and Tuesday. I chose to speak with my assigned recruiter on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 3:00pm. Upon receiving no call from my assigned recruiter I called at 3:06pm and was forwarded to voicemail.

The process was HR phone screen, video 1 on 1, 2 person panel interview that closed with a manager 1 on 1, fairly standard questions. Team panel interview was ok, the team looked and felt disengaged and asked questions outside the given job description.

The process took almost 1 and a half month (a big drawback) Hr round , Technical assessment in hackerrank, Technical screen with senior analyst, Behavioral round with Scrum lead finally, paired programming. I didn't receive any response after many follow-ups with HR after the final round. After attending and spending this much time in the interview process, the least I could ask for is the feedback or decision email.

Had an initial phone screen, a take home project, a pair programming exercise on Zoom with two other engineers, then a video call with a technical lead. Was a pretty straightforward interview experience.

Entrevista

Very straightforward and basic. HR screener, followed by what’s supposed to be a proficiency interview - but was more of a deeper dive into resume. This is followed by a presentation of a take-home project. You also have a two-on-one interview, followed by a one-on-one with a supposed leader. The employees are very young and not well skilled in advanced product terminology or tools. As a result, their questions were entirely surface level. But the initial three were all very charming and kept saying I’d be an asset on their team. The alleged leader spent much of the interview checking her phone and being distracted by a roommate. I had to repeat questions numerous times. I mentioned standard tools used in the product space and she had no idea what I was talking about. It was off-putting, but provided excellent insight into the quality of potential colleagues.

-Phone Screening -online assessment (hackerrank) python and SQL -Phone interview (during this time they told me I didnt have the skills needed for the position, even-though I got a 100% on the hackerrank and my skills were outlined on my resume) Seems like a great company with genuine people but just wished they looked at my resume before they had me take the assessment!
