      Overall the interview was a good experience, and the recruiting team was very professional, although it was not the right role for me. The technical assessment was very easy, and the entire interview process was entirely based on "tell me about a time..." questions therefore making me conclude that the selection process was political rather than based on technical skills. I will mention though that based on my interactions it doesn't seem like they have the right eye for picking out talent, which is a little concerning considering that this is what their software is trying to sell.

      Entrevista

      Initial HR screen followed by an interview with the Data Migrations Team Manager, then a take-home assessment, before a virtual on-site, and finally an executive interview. The HR screen is pretty basic, as their just trying to get to know you and your skills. The manager interview was more behavioural so practice the STAR format. Take-home assessment was okay, but I'd advise you clear out 3-4 hours of your schedule to complete it.

      In one word: confusing. (i) 4 out of the 5 people I met with are white. Yet I was asked if inclusion & diversity is important to me because it is super important to Greenhouse. (ii) Early on during conversations, no weekends would be involved. Later on that ended up being “revised” to “rare/occasional weekends." (iii) After asking how direct would contact with customers be, I was told that Account Managers help. Later on the hiring manager “clarified” that there is direct, constant customer contact, including weekly calls for a specific type of project. (iv) I specifically asked early on if the job had to track time somehow, and was told that it didn't. Then, turned out the position submits weekly timesheets. (v) Mid-process, an additional step was created for me to meet the VP if selected for that “next step”. Everyone was incredibly nice, friendly and relaxed. The great work the teams does shows on G2 rankings. They absolutely made the correct call by not extending an offer because there was indeed lack of fit. As a company that develops tech *for recruiting* though, I was expecting a very different experience.

I’m sorry to hear you walked away feeling the process was confusing and that your expectations were not met. We strive for clarity and open communication throughout our process, and it seems like we may have missed the mark in this situation. We understand that representation is vital and are sorry we missed the mark for this interview panel. We appreciate your feedback on this. (ii) We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding weekend work. We will work on being more precise and consistent in conveying expectations related to working hours in the future. (iii) We regret the miscommunication about customer contact. It's important to us that potential employees understand their role clearly, and we will aim to provide clearer information in the future. (iv) Regarding time-tracking, I understand how this could have been frustrating for you. We’ll strive for better clarity in our communications about job responsibilities. (v) Our goal is always to make the interview process as structured and beneficial for both parties as possible. We apologize if this step was not communicated earlier in the process. We truly appreciate your feedback and the perspective you have provided.
