I applied for a Marketing Assistant position and was invited to a first-round video interview. The interview itself felt a bit rushed, but I stayed optimistic and appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the company. At the end of the call, I was told I’d hear back within 2-3 days, which sounded promising. I also learned that the process would involve four total interview rounds — which seemed excessive for an entry-level role, but I was still excited to continue. After a week passed with no update, I sent a polite follow-up email. Unfortunately, I never received a response or any further communication. It was a disappointing experience, especially after investing time and effort into preparing for the interview. In 2025, there’s really no excuse for ghosting candidates who have already interviewed. It reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism and communication culture. In hindsight, I feel I probably dodged a bullet by not progressing further.
