Entrevista
The first step of the GENEWIZ interview process for their NJ headquarters was a brief phone interview with an HR representative. About a week later I received an email asking to come in for for an in person interview. This in person interview involved me first giving a 15 minute presentation about myself to all the interviewers at once. I then met with each interviewer either individually or in groups of 2 or 3 over a 1.5 hour period.

Entrevista
1. Screening call with HR.
2. PPT presentation for 5-10 min on your background (education and strengths), experience (it helps to talk about industry experience and student research), and a moderately in depth overview of NGS tech. Think of it as a high level introduction where you shouldn't get too lost in the weed describing molecular mechanisms. Then they ask about experience with PCR and aseptic technique.

Pregunta 1
Describe your research, experience with PCR and DNA isolation, where you see yourself in 3-5 years.
Phone call screening first but didn’t get opportunity to interview with staff in the department. The screening itself wasn’t too difficult but I think they want people with much more experience than entry level

There was a previous phone screen for about 30 minutes - 1 hour with an HR representative. This screen was pretty easy, they ask basic questions like are you a USC and as long as you're nice and qualified, you should hopefully be able to get to the actual interview.
THIS INTERVIEW WAS ONLINE - THE LOCATION IS WRONG. Due to COVID-19, all interviews seem to take place online. Actual interview had 3 people - went well in my opinion. They ask that you prepare a PWRpt presentation before hand about yourself, your experience, and how the NGS technologies work. This is about 5-10 minutes, before the open up to questions. They asked about specific skills I had, what type of environment I would be comfortable working in, if I understood and was comfortable with Real-Time PCR, as well as where I see myself in five years. Make sure you come with questions!
