Entrevista
I got an email the day after I applied and was invited to do a phone interview. I passed the phone interview and went on to interview in person. Worst experience of my life!!! I arrived at 8:15am on 4/24/17 and did not leave until 4:30pm—that’s 8 hours and 15 minutes. I did not eat or drink anything all day nor did I get any sort of break. Everything was back to back. First thing when I got there I had to wait in the lobby for a little bit, then the recruiter brought me to complete the first computer test—this tested my typing skills, my ability to multi-task, and to see how quickly I can learn a system. After the test I waited in the lobby for the results. Once they got the results they asked me back to the same computer room to do more testing—this next round of testing was a behavioral/personality test and basic math. Then they had me wait in the lobby again for the results. After they got the results I was brought to an office with the recruiter and did an hour and a half more detailed face to face interview. After that the recruiter had me wait in the lobby again stating he was going to go over my answers with the managers to see if my answers from the interview were sufficient to move forward. The recruiter came and said I was going to be brought back to do a role play. After the role play I was brought back to wait in the lobby while the recruiter went to see if I was going to move forward. I was then brought into the call center where I shadowed three different people over the span of two and a half hours. By this time it was 4:30 and I was sent home stating they would follow up with me.
I received a call two days later from the recruiter stating one of the managers from Arizona wanted to do a phone interview with me before they would consider scheduling the final interview with me. I completed the phone interview with the manager the next day. I received an email a few hours after the phone interview stating they wanted to schedule my final interview and that I had to prepare a presentation for the interview and was to have the presentation to the recruiter two days before my final interview.
With no instructions or direction, I created the best presentation I could and sent it to the recruiter. When I arrived at my final interview my presentation was ready on a projector. There were two managers in the room and two managers on a webcam. During this interview one of the managers at the table was glaring at me. I presented my presentation and during my entire presentation the manager at the table continued to glare at me. It was at that point where I knew I was not really being considered. Even still—I continued my presentation then sat at the table and was asked the same interview questions that I had previously answered during my hour and a half in-person interview with the recruiter.
At the end, the recruiter brought me into the lobby to wait and said he was going to go find out if I'm a "yes" or "no". He came back about 3 or 4 minutes later and told me that he was going to have me leave since it was late in the day they aren't going to have an answer. It was clear that they were blowing me off and did not have the professional ability to provide the bad news to my face that they were not interested in hiring me. Upon leaving, I expect to receive an email within the next couple days stating I wasn't the right fit. Sure enough, two days later I received an auto generated email stating I was not moving forward.
After experiencing the unprofessional behavior of this leadership team, an 8 hour and 15 minute day of interviewing with no breaks and a final interview with no instructions for the presentation—I have dropped GEICO as my auto insurer.

Went through one 30 min and one 60 min phone interview and 2 assessments. Both of the phone interviews were so faceless and it was just question after question. After all that, I wake up to an email saying I wasn't moving on to the last round. Such a Micky mouse organization.

I applied for the MDP program in the Tristate area at the end of March. As I was prepping for the interview I looked on Glassdoor For tips but from my experience I believe a lot of our experiences will be different depending on where you are applying as my interview timeline seemed to be a little different from some reviews I read. So don’t depend on these reviews to be the exact same interview experience and timeline. One thing i will say is even though the process is long they move through the process fairly
Quickly so as long as you are also applying for other opportunities it won’t feel like such a dragged out process. Most of the time you will get feedback the same day you complete a step. I also did not do a pre recorded hire vue video interview like some people did on here.
1) Contacted by recruiter to send transcript and availability for a preliminary phone interview.
2) spoke with recruiter about general overview on program, reviewed experiences on my resume, why geico and touched on brief leadership experiences from past jobs. Also talked about general job behaviors like how many times were you late and how many times did you call
Out? I suggest answering these as if you never called out or were late because if you answer otherwise you will be called out for it.
3) first sent behavioral assessment with a virtual
Customer service simulation. The next day i was sent the caliper assessment that goes into detail about your personality management style and logical questions.
4) few days later after calipher I was invited to compete a second phone interview a week later where they asked me situational STAR questions and about where else I’m applying and how does geico compare to My other options. This interview seems like they want to get to know about your management style, more in depth information about your leadership experience and how interested you actually are in this position. During this call The interviewer let me know immediately i will be moving on to the next step in the process which is a manager interview.
I’m not sure if this is actually the last step or if this will be role play and then a final interview but from the wording it seems like this will be my last step. But my advice will be don’t depend on these reviews to give you the exact timeline on what to expect because it may differ depending on which location and MDP track you’re applying for. Just be honest and be yourself and don’t overthink it and you should do fine. This is my second time applying and I’m doing very well compared to the first time i applied two years ago and the first time i didn’t make it past the initial first phone interview. So if it’s meant to be and you don’t overly prepare you’ll do great! But don’t overthink it :)
Tell me about a time where you had to work with a customer who received news they didn’t expect to hear or a time where you dealt with a difficult customer

Had a great interview with the interviewer, and then I was sent tests to take. I took one of the tests and felt I did well, but I was unable to take the second test due to a glitch. I attempted to contact the recruiter about this issue and she did not respond again.
