July 16th - The staffing agency emailed me about a direct hire and I read the description and called back to express my interest and answer any questions he had for me. After our chat and garnering his belief my staffer set to submitting for me.
July 23rd - Received a call/email that the company agreed to a phone interview. I accepted the date.
July 24th - Received email confirmation of interview time & date as well as the call in number and pin.
July 28th - Called into the line 5 mins early, only had to wait a minute for the interviewer to connect/start the interview. It was only one person, the IT Manager for global support.
We started with salutations and his introduction. Next he talked about the company, what they do and it's current affairs. Then we moved on to the site for the position; it's location, size, infrastructure and personnel.
After giving a solid overview of operations, products and IT inventory. He then started questions to assess my skills. Typical hypothetical questions that you could expect, printers, helpdesk. peripherals, networking and troubleshooting them all. It depicts a clear image of the job's duties.
