The VP of recruiting reached out via email and we had a conversation a couple of days later. Was completely turned off when they asked me about a role on my resume and not-so-subtly implied (incorrectly so) that my "short" tenure there (I was there for almost 2 years in a leadership role) ended on bad terms. Haven't heard back, but going to assume that I'm being passed over. I've had my fair share of terrible interviews, but I'm growing tired of senior-level recruiters being so inept at maintaining proper interview etiquette.
I had a recruiter reach out to me stating they had reviewed my profile thinking I was a great fit. They followed up with an email about the interview process which was totally a lie, prompting me to apply to the job (I had not even initially applied to the role). They did not have a proper phone screen, I did not have a follow up call with the hiring manager. I had no updates on the interview process and they sent me a cryptic response to see if I was interested in another role. They did not respond to my messages asking for an update on the role/process. They finally got back to me saying the managers had decline to speak to me after a screening. Why would you ask a candidate to put themselves into to hiring pool before this step in the process? I am appalled and no longer want to deal with Fanatics and this recruiter.
