Entrevista
First was a quick phone screen with the recruiter which was great. The recruiter was transparent about the interview process as well as compensation for the role. Following the recruiter call things went downhill. I was scheduled for a zoom with the hiring manager and while talking to him, I could tell this would not be a good fit from a management perspective. He did not know what he was looking for in a candidate and continually talked about how they had a lot of interest in the role from candidates due to all the tech layoffs going on. He mentioned that next steps would be a presentation followed by 5 - 30 minute interviews with peers. A few days following my video call with the hiring manager he sent me instructions on the presentation, except it did not turn out to be a presentation and instead he wanted me to design a process and just send it to him with no opportunity to actually talk about the process (i.e do free work for him). Upon seeing there was no presentation scheduled I submitted a very high level slide deck without much detail as that is what would be covered in an actual presentation with q+a. I never heard back from the recruiter or hiring manager after submitting which while not acceptable to ghost a candidate, I didn't really care since I wasn't interested in the role after speaking with the hiring manager.

Create a repeatable process to track progress against individual team roadmaps, know when things have launched, and the results we are seeing against our expected results and provide the process in a document or slide deck.
Terrible experience. When the date/time came to chat with the recruiter, he never called. I reached out 10 minutes into our scheduled time asking if were still going to connect and he didn't reply until 2 hours later. When he did, he said he tried to call me, but couldn't get through. While possible, I doubt this because he never left a voicemail. Even worse, he didn't reach out to me through email during our scheduled time to see if we were still connecting. Had I not reached out first, I would never have heard from him. He asked if I was free the next day at the same time to try again and I said yes. He never called.

Entrevista
First the hiring manager is a no-show, which the recruiter never once apologized for. Then the interview is rescheduled, again with the hiring manager, but surprise, the hiring manager is at an offsite and someone else is conducting the interview instead. A no-show again. No warning or heads up. Terrible professionalism. First impressions matter and in this case, I've seen all I need to know about how the Product team functions and how Eventbrite at-large operates. It seems the reviews here about chaos and a culture of disregard are accurate. No thank you, bye.
