I recently had an interview with the HR department at Engine Company, and unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. During the initial conversation, we discussed the role, expectations, and the company's goals, and I was assured that I would receive a follow-up within two days to schedule a subsequent interview with the engineering team.
However, I never received any response. After waiting for their confirmation, I reached out to the HR person on LinkedIn, but there was no reply. I also followed up via email to seek clarity on my application status, and again, I received no response.
This lack of communication was disappointing and unprofessional, especially after what seemed to be a promising initial interview. I hope Engine Company can improve their follow-up processes to provide a better candidate experience in the future.
