I was contacted by the CEO on a Sunday who told me to work with his "assistant" to schedule an interview. His assistant ended up being a robot scheduling program. The robot is AI technology made by X.ai - Amy Ingram. The robot would not confirm my time slot. So, I attempted to write the CEO back with no response. Over the next week or two, I called his cell phone, the office and sent an email to the general inbox with no response. After contacting X.ai to fix the error myself, I was finally booked. The day of my interview, the CEO emailed me to tell me, an hour before the start time, that he had to cancel the interview and would reschedule. He never rescheduled. I don't get why people don't value other's time. Especially when they go out of their way to get on a calendar and thoughtfully prepare. I couldn't imagine helping this guy grow his company after realizing how difficult he is to reach. Additionally, not sure why isn't straightforward about having another candidate instead of just saying he'll reschedule later.
