First I heard there might be a job available for a potential Hair Stylist. So I went to the salon and handed my CV into the Salon Owner/Manager in person. She got back to me within 3 days, and arranged a day when I would come in and do a skills test/trail day. 2 days later I went to the salon to show off my skills, I spent an entire day at the salon, getting to know the staff, and routine of the salon. At the end of the day I sat 1:1 with the Manager and we had a talk about how I did, what I enjoyed etc. and she offered me the job.
