Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Datadog (New York, NY) en oct 2017
Entrevista
Datadog had a 5 step interview process: online application, phone screen, culture fit interview (2x 30 minutes), interview with department head (1x 60 minutes), and a homework project. Each step was separated by a number of days, so the process was a bit drawn out.

Many questions asking for specific examples of how you can multitask, stay cool under pressure, and problem solve a variety of issues both big and small. The cultural fit interviews were in large part personality-based, as this role has you constantly interacting with people.

Dublin based recruiter had contacted me within 1 hour of applying for a position... to my delight... She inquired about my availability for a phone interview to which I responded within the hour. I did not hear from her until a week and half later. Her email read; 'Sorry I didn't get back would this week work?'. I immediately responded & shared my availability. I did not hear from her until the day before to confirm that the time was okay.
The phone interview lasted less than 3 minutes. She was super rude, opened the call asking why I had applied for the role and questioned a role I applied for last year. Saying the systems pull all of it together. Not being smart, but she contacted me on the back of applying for the office coordinator role so she should be prepared or at least gage why i applied for the previous role. Instead she said 'they are two different roles and I don't see how your skill set matches'.
Her tone & manner was appalling and was not a good reflection on Datadog. I hung up on her!

The Interview Process was supposed to be a Google Hang Video, but got switched to a regular phone call (scheduled for 15 mins). I ended up speaking with my interviewer as he rode the train which was loud and busy, with beeping and poor cell phone service throughout. We had to ask each other to repeat numerous times as our speech got cut out. The conversation was informal and nonintimidating, but left a bitter taste behind that the interviewer could not dedicate time to talk without distractions. Human Resources was warm and very communicative over email, and my experience with the HR representatives was positive.
