After applying on line, was sent an email for an interview. I phoned the mgr. , set up date/time for the interview. When I showed, I was told he wasn't there. They asked me to reschedule. No one called me to cancel or tell me he no longer was there. I had a 2nd interview on the same day with another Darden restaurant. When I show at this place, that mgr. wasn't there & another mgr. came out. She asked what I had applied for???? So no one is informed about the applicants coming in who made an appointment. She went into the back & didn't come out for a very long time. It was very awkward because there wasn't a place to sit up front due to covid. Finally, another mgr. comes out to interview me.
Short and easy. Felt very welcoming. Asked just a brief summary of my experience. I have a fun fact on how many breadsticks we go through in a year, and it made him laugh because he didn’t even know that. I was hired on the spot.
The interview process was very professional, but also welcoming and laid back. The person who interviewed me was very welcoming, kind, personable, and straightforward. It was my first job interview in a restaurant like this, but they made the experience relaxing and easy.
