The interview process started with a technical recruiter screen. Generally went like this: Tell me about your background, current work environment and pace, some technical questions at the end for candidate and opportunity to ask questions

Recruiter screen → take-home assignment → in-person onsite → reference check → verbal offer
The process itself was straightforward up until the final stage. After receiving a verbal offer, I was informed roughly a week later that it had been rescinded; apparently without prior sign-off from the CTO. It left a poor impression: a verbal offer shouldn't be extended before internal alignment is confirmed at the executive level.

I will say the pay for Charlie Health is incredibly low, ranging it seems from 140k - 170k for mid level in NYC. The recruiter and I seemed out of alignment for pay, which ultimately led to my rejection. They want engineers in office in NYC 4 days a week and only offer food twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday). Seems that this company is skimping on a lot. All in all, they want to hire top talent, cannot meet the bands required for top talent, and reject overqualified candidates (to be honest, they probably knew I was going to reject, so they rejected first). The interview process is exceptionally easy, which proves that the engineering talent is mid, yet they are trying to hire talented engineers. Good luck

They seem messy. Recruiter ghosted me mid process lol. After 3 rounds of interviews spanning a several weeks, it's pretty unprofessional that they can't even send a proper rejection email.
