Title: Unprofessional and Disrespectful Interview Process Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I had an extremely disappointing experience when interviewing for the Account Executive position at Cengage Group. I feel compelled to share my experience to provide a candid view of their interview process. The first red flag was the severe lack of communication. After the initial round of interviews, I was left in the dark for weeks with no updates or feedback. When they finally got back to me, it was to inform me that I needed to travel to an onsite interview at a hotel in San Jose, which was a considerable distance from my residence in San Francisco. When I inquired about the possibility of accommodations or alternatives due to the inconvenience, the response was shockingly unprofessional. It was made clear that it was their way or the highway, with a total disregard for my circumstances. After reluctantly attending the onsite interview, I followed up diligently, only to be met with more silence. It was only when I stumbled upon the same job posting on LinkedIn that I realized I had been discarded without so much as a courtesy email. To add insult to injury, I received an email later, suggesting that they were seeking someone with more experience, which was a blatant lie. Their own job description clearly stated the qualifications required, and I surpassed them by a wide margin, with more than four times the experience they were seeking. Cengage Group's unprofessionalism and lack of consideration during the interview process left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a candidate. I would caution anyone considering interviewing with this company to be prepared for a discourteous and disorganized experience. My impression of Cengage Group's professionalism and integrity has been severely tarnished by this encounter.

First a Phone screen with HR rep, then a zoom interview with the hiring manager, next team interview over zoom with three people, then an in person meeting with hiring manager and finally a zoom presentation. No offer.
