Received a referral from a colleague and was contacted within 5 minutes by a recruiter. The process started with an initial phone screen of about 30 minutes with fairly standard questions regarding consulting and software experience along with career goals and intentions. The recruiter was excellent at answering all questions regarding the organization throughout the process. She was extremely prompt with responding to emails and calls.
Next part was a 30-60 min technical phone screen with a senior consultant (developer) who asked me some OOP, data structures, and design questions. This was the most technical portion of the entire process.
Lastly, I was scheduled for an on-site which consisted of 3 back to back interviews for 30 minutes each with a dev manager, architect, and director. The questions revolved around specific consulting and tech experiences with behavioral questions (“Describe a time...”) and plenty of time for questions I had. A common theme across all 3 interviews were questions regarding my role and perspective as a technologist generally (“How do you approach new technologies?”).
CapTech seems like a great place to work and all the people I met throughout the interview process were genuinely motivated and empathetic professionals that I could see myself working alongside with. I declined the offer due to my personal and career needs at the time and not because of any negative aspects of the interview process.
