Applied on their website and went through their personality questionnaire which completely sucked and the results were not indicative of me as a person at all. I got reserve listed then later emailed to book a phone interview. I booked one for 11 o'clock in a few days and then I got a phone call saying their system had double booked me with someone else so they said they'd move me to 10 o'clock. There I was waiting at 10 for the call and nothing. Thought they must have forgotten and they would call at 11. They did not call until 12. Despite that the interviewer was friendly and the questions weren't too hard although they were very long and wordy, how something made you feel and what you did and how and why blah blah blah. I thought the interview went well but I got an email rejecting me the next day. Another store that reserve listed me has now contacted me for an interview but based off of this experience, I will not be taking them up on it.

After completing an online assessment with personality and circumstantial questions, I was selected for a telephone interview. This would have been a face-to-face interview, but given the current circumstances regarding the pandemic, was over the phone instead. Understandable. First of all, the interviewee who called me did not confirm who they were speaking with. He explained the hours to me, and did not bother to check if they suited my schedule, and given that I did not know what the rota would be beforehand, and that they were rather unsociable hours (3PM-12AM, 5 days a week) I found that rather strange. He went straight in with interview questions. He did not ask me anything about myself, or even Boots. Most of them were pretty standard 'Tell me about a time...' format. I did not feel he made any effort whatsoever to actually get to know me, and I found the process incredibly shallow.

Very relaxed interview process with a lovely assistant manager. She had to follow the standard Boots interview questions about yourself and past experience scenarios to send back to head office. After the question stage I was then taken onto the shop floor to do a few assessments. Answer some gift picking questions for a customer; what questions would you ask someone who came into store to buy a gift for their friend? After was the an empty shelf and I was asked what I would do with this shelf if I had only 10 minutes and then when I had more than 10 minutes. Overall the company seems great and the staff are lovely!

asked questions about general customer service, experience, took me on store floor and tested my knowledge on safety and what could be made better/ improved, make sure you talk about pulling forward and keeping things tidy as its a massive part of there business

filled out a questionnaire, was then invited to a face to face interview, interview went well, interviewer was friendly, questions were straight foreword. was told i had done really well and that they would get back to me within a week.

Entrevista

First stage was a telephone interview with role play and information about the role which lasted about 15 minutes. There was then a face to face interview with tour round office, talk through CV, competency questions, a typing test and an email answering exercise. Interviewer was really friendly and I was made to feel at ease throughout the whole process.
