Soft Skills: Was nice, it's a nice company i think, you earn in pesos in Argentina which is awesome, the bad part is that you don't have any holiday or offday, you just have to discount from your salary. The company doesn't have any benefit, he told me that they pay you if you are useful and if they don't need you, you will be free to go, a little bit harsh if you ask me. Technical skills: Its was a live coding, you have to complete 3 exercises in an 1,5 hour. They were middle level and the 2 devs that are testing you help you a lot. You have to be quick and explain what you are doing. I receive the feedback that i was not selected 10 month after I did the interview.

Entrevista

I friend of mine started to work at Azumo and seeing that he seems to be glad of his decision, I asked him to refer me and give him my resume. I was contacted by a recruiter on the following day. She was very polite, told me about the company and its projects and had no problem to answer all of my questions. As English is not my native language, she asked to switch the conversation to English for a little bit. After that interview, later on the same day I was contacted to see if it was possible to have a second call with their CEO. It was scheduled on Hangouts, for the next day. I got a very good impression, he was very enthusiast, had a successful background as entrepreneur and was very willing to talk about their work and plans for the future. Lastly, he asked If I had any questions or concerns and also if I was willing to have a third and final technical interview. I said sure, and it was arranged for the next or the following day. The technical interviewer was a very experienced software architect from whom I already good references from my friend working there. He was very friendly and presented me some coding problems to resolve. He was very helpful the whole time and the problems where even fun to work on, our normal every day coding work keeps us far from algorithmic problem solving and it reminded me the college time learning while having fun. That’s what I can say about my contact with company. Some hours after I had the technical interview. I was contacted from a company for which I had been previously interviewed and decided to take that job but my overall impression with Azumo was really positive.

Preguntas de entrevistas
  • The technical interview consisted on coding problems to solve and refactor. It was well conducted and pretty fun

1. Very quick call with the COO. He explained what they do. Did not let room for any question. 2. 1-hour long peer programming call with the CTO. Had to solve two code problems ala leetcode. One of them was about finding and fixing some bug. Felt like an odd set of interviews that did not gathered what kind of experience I actually have. It could be very well passed by someone fresh out of college, and not passed by someone with tons of experience. Basically, prepare as if it were an interview for some of the big-corps.

Terrible experience! This company has no respect for candidates' time. So I applied through my uni's career portal, and was contacted soon after for a 1-on-1 Skype call with the CEO. The call was OK, general background questions and info about the company, though when I asked about their clients the CEO proudly said that they had none (uh... ok?) and I got the impression that this company was much smaller and early stage than I had thought. After that was an easy automated codility test, 3 technical questions online within 2 hours. Next they wanted to schedule an SF onsite with 4-5 people. We worked out the dates and I cleared my schedule for that date. Then, they wanted to reschedule for a week later! OK... we went over dates again and I cleared my schedule for yet another date. THEN, they contacted me to reschedule just ONE of the 30-minute interviews to another day. To be clear, the schedule they presented meant that not only would I have to make an extra trip to SF on a separate day (for just 30 minutes...), but the guy who was rescheduled was also originally 2nd or 3rd in line, so on the original interview day, I would just be sitting around for 30 minutes doing nothing during his time slot. Yeah, no thanks. At this point I sent them an email requesting to have all the interviews be on the same day, or do without a person if possible. The CEO then emailed me asking if I could commute to work every day if I got the job, and remarking that commute didn't seem bad from my location (20-40min one way depending on traffic). True commute is not horrible but I still feel rather offended as I thought I had made it clear that I was currently working (NOT unemployed and on a full time search) - like of course if I get a job I would wrap up existing commitments but it doesn't mean I'm not busy right now! Plus the whole thing just seems awfully disorganized. Didn't mention this earlier but the Skype interview was rescheduled to be 30min earlier also. There literally wasn't a single interview that wasn't rescheduled!! And I don't understand why they couldn't have 1) interviewed me with the 4 people first, and IF they liked me then schedule the last person OR 2) conduct the extra person's interview over Skype. All in all just seems like lots of time wasted. They have canceled my interviews and not responded since my last email explaining that yes in fact I can commute regularly to work, but I don't really think I want to work somewhere this disorganized anyway :/
