I had the recruiter first round interview. It went smoothly. The interviewer made the whole process very easy. But the position and my experience didn't match well. So I wasn't sure why I was interviewed

Recruiter screening call followed by a few more phone calls and then a in-person panel interview with 3 different levels within the department. Levels varied from senior research associate to management to higher management.
